Members of FS Capital’s investment team have directly acquired around €1.3bn of Iberian real estate assets across more than 70 transactions in the last 4 years, including investments in commercial real estate, residential and land & development assets. Additionally, while working as buy side advisors for Tier 1 investment firms, FS Capital’s team members have worked on most of the transactions that have come to the market in the last 5 years, having underwritten more than €100bn of value across 200+ transactions.

Based on the experience accumulated over the years, the sourcing capabilities developed along the way and the team’s local presence and footprint, FS Capital is in a strong position to identify and execute transactions on an opportunistic basis that can deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns.

Nuno ES Silva

Managing Partner

Nuno is the founding partner of Finsolutia and its running CEO. Throughout his career, Nuno has gained valuable experience and exposure to transactions of Non-Core Assets, including performing, sub-performing and non-performing loan-portfolios across Southern Europe. Prior to FinSolutia, Nuno worked for BES as the director leading loan recoveries, high risk corporate clients and asset disposals, leading a number of ABS and structured finance transactions across Iberia, including the sale of the first ever NPL portfolios. Nuno also served as a board member of a private equity firm, where he gained exposure to corporate turnarounds and sector M&A projects. In addition, he held other roles, in fixed income research, to equity sales and trading, and was a consultant at BCG. Nuno has an executive degree from INSEAD, an MBA with honors (Beta Gamma Sigma) from SDSU-California State University, a Post Graduate degree in Corporate Finance (ISCTE) and a business degree.

Gonzalo Gutiérrez de Mesa

Partner & Country Manager Spain

Gonzalo is the country manager of Finsolutia's Spanish office, responsible for the Iberian performing and non-performing loan portfolios, as well as the Real Estate Assets managed by FinSolutia. He has a leading role in the recovery process and is a member of the investment committee of our investment advised funds. In the recent past at FinSolutia, he has actively participated in the deleveraging process of the Spanish financial sector, providing advisory services for the most relevant transactions of credit and real estate portfolios in the market. He has a strong entrepreneur & business background in investment banking and real estate. Previously, Gonzalo was Founder & Managing Partner of AIC, an independent advisory firm providing global investment services on real estate closing successfully several cross-border transactions. In the past, Gonzalo worked at BBVA and Santander, as investment director & board member of several international real estate funds with more than € 600mn of AUM. Gonzalo holds a degree in Business Administration from Complutense University and Executive post graduate degree by IESE Business School. He is former board member of the Real Estate Board at Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM).

Manuel P. Raposo

Partner & Managing Director

Manuel joined Finsolutia in November 2014, responsible for managing the Finance and Human Resources departments and is currently a member of the Executive Committee. He has over 15 years of international experience concentrated in the investment banking industry, namely in Equity Capital Markets. Manuel was previously the Head of Institutional Equity Sales at Espirito Santo Investment Bank in Iberia, based in Madrid, where he was responsible for running the Iberian Equity sales team. He was a key account and relationship manager for key US and European Tier I Institutional Investors and played a vital role in revamping and transforming ESIB Iberian Equity Research/Sales franchise in Iberia into a TOP 5 Extel rated broker. He had prior international experience in investment banking in Spain (BBVA), Portugal (Millennium BCP) and UK (ESIB). Manuel studied Economics at Universidade Catolica Portuguesa.

Nuno Ravara

Partner & Managing Director

Nuno joined Finsolutia in June 2014 as Managing Director & Principal of the Commercial Real Estate business for captive funds.
Currently, he is the Principal of the real estate funds advised by FS Capital, having executed +EUR130 m of investments to date.
He came from Norfin, a leading Investment Manager, where he worked 8 years as fund manager of Real Estate equity investments and where he led equity funds (c. €1bn AUM) across several sectors (offices, logistics, retail and residential) in Portugal and in Spain.
Previously he spent 8 years at GPA (Project Managers and Real Estate Appraisals) having gained valuable experience and exposure to real estate development projects and valuations.
Nuno holds an MBA and Master in Finance from Catholic University - School of Economics and Management and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Technical University of Lisbon.

Francisco Jonet

Partner & Managing Director

Francisco joined FS Capital in 2017 as Head of Special Situations and is currently the Principal of the opportunistic funds advised by FS Capital. Throughout his career, Francisco has been working with non-core real estate assets for nearly ten years, gaining a valuable experience in a wide range of asset classes, capital structures and geographies with roles at Castlelake, Sareb and Finsolutia. At Castlelake, Francisco worked as a Director, being involved in investments in non-core real estate assets (both asset and loan formats) across several sectors (residential, CRE, land & development) with a Pan-European exposure (Portugal, Spain, Italy and the UK), with combined transaction values of more than €1.0bn. Before joining Castlelake, Francisco was a member of Sareb’s financial assets team, being responsible for the divestment of several non-performing loan portfolios and single tickets to international investors. Francisco participated in a Corporate Finance Programme at London Business School and holds a Master in Finance at UCP – Lisbon School of Business and Economics and a BSc in Business Administration from Nova – School of Business and Economics.
